Xiao Hanbin
(Hubei Wuhan 1st Cotton Group Co.,Ltd. )
Abstract: Properties of new size boxes at home and abroad were summarized. Immersion form, immersion times and lengths, pressure, size box volume and heating method, yarn guide path, placement of wet split of several typical size boxes were introduced and analyzed. It is concluded that high pressure size box with more immersion and pressure, lateral pressure and vertical yarn guide to drying cylinder is the most advantageous. It is pointed out that new size box should be adapted to new size, size processing and pre-wet sizing, and sizing concentration should be monitored, to be applicable into multi- product production and operation convenience. Improvement and development might be gained by decreasing components and lowering investment costs.

Abstract: Influence of offset spinning on yarn quality and shape of twisting triangle area was discussed. Offset spinning with controllable offset and direction can be realized by installing traversing guide clasp between front roller jaws and yarn guide clasp. Five kinds of linear density yarns with right and left offset direction and 0 mm, 6 mm, 12 mm and 18 mm offsets were tested and compared. A high speed camera method was used to analyze twisting triangle area shapes and forces. The result shows that offset spinning direction is decisive for hairiness formation. For Z twist yarn, twisting triangle area shape can be symmetrical when right oblique spinning path is adopted, the yarn hairiness can be improved, and optimal effect can be gained when offset is 12 mm. Yarn hairiness would be deteriorated when left oblique spinning path is adopted. Offset spinning doesn’t have obvious effect on yarn uniformity. Offset spinning is more suitable to spin yarns with large linear density.

Abstract: To spin high quality aramid 1414 pure yarn on cotton spinning equipments successfully, fiber pretreatment method during processing and relative humidity control in production were discussed based on the fiber property of easy static. Siro-spun technology was adopted and processing parameters were optimized, and the 18. 5 tex aramid 1414 siro-spun yarn was produced successfully. Relationship between its breaking strength and twist factor was also analyzed. The results show that there exist two critical twist factors for aramid 1414 siro-spun yarn and the critical twist factor is smaller than that of the same linear density traditional ring-spun yarn.

P18 Spinning of Mulberry Fiber Blended Rotor-spun Yarn and its Properties Analyses
Qu Caixin Wang Jianming
(Yancheng Textile Vocational Technology College)
Abstract: Processing and properties of mulberry fiber blended rotor-spun yarn were discussed. Microwave-enzymes-chemical assistive technology was adopted to produce mulberry fiber. Mulberry fiber blended yarn was spun by rotor-spun process. Through series of technology measures such as pretreatment on mulberry fiber, selection on proper blended ratio of raw material properly, correct determination on processing parameters and necessary technology measures in each process, finally the yarn could be spun successfully. At the same time, main property index of the spun yarn was tested. The result shows that bacteria repellency, evenness CV and hairiness level of blended mulberry/cotton rotor-spun yarn with ratio of 55/45 and 28 tex are better than that of blended ramie/cotton rotor-spun yarn with same ratio and fineness. Strength and broken elongation of the yarn are worse, however its quality can meet weaving demands.

Abstract: Application effect of evaporative cooling technology in modification of textile air conditioning was discussed. Taking No.3 and No.4 workshops in one Shandong mill as examples, problems of the two original air conditioning systems were tested and analyzed. The systems were modified by adopting evaporative cooling technology. On the basis of original duct, evaporative cooling machine was added, air capacity balance in workshop and effective humidification can be realized. Finally humidity and temperature in workshop can reach production demands. It is considered that the evaporative cooling technology is a better application technology, the technology can be used to modify workshop air conditioning system.

(Tianjin Polytechnic University)
Abstract: To recognize fabric defect more accurate and improve online detection real-time, a kind of fabric defect detection method based on 3D coding color optical grating was researched, the detection effect was tested. The result shows that fabric 3D framework information can be calculated through the coding method of projecting one fixed color optical grating on fabric surface, then the information were converted into data information of two-coordinate plane, finally fabric defects can be identified and classified. Through test false detection of the method is 2. 85%. It is pointed out that the feasibility and reliability of the detection method is better.

Abstract: Textile printing is the most versatile and important method used to introduce colour and design to the textile substrate where in thickener plays an important role. The main function of thickener is to adhere or hold the dye particles in the desired place on the fabric until the transfer of dye into the fabric and its fixation is complete. Tamarind gum is mainly used as sizing agent for jute and cotton warps due to its excellent binding and film forming properties. It is used as substitute of starch due to its lower cost and better weaving efficiency. The unique property of tamarind gum i.e. high viscosity at low concentration and low molecular weight compared to other polysaccharide may be useful to make it suitable as thickener in textile printing. Main drawback of Tamarind gum is poor keeping property and it interferes with the reactive dye in reactive printing. This paper deals with improving the thickening properties of tamarind gum chemically to extend its application in reactive printing on cellulosic fabrics.

Abstract: The awareness of health and hygiene for consumers has increased the demand for antimicrobial textiles. Whilst in the past it was predominantly technical textiles, which had, antimicrobial finishes in particular protecting against bacteria and fungi, now-a-days textiles worn close to the body have been developed for a variety of different applications as far as medical and hygienic tasks in hospital applications. Antibacterial finish on fabrics can minimize the transfer of microorganisms onto the wearer by creating a physical barrier. It prevents the skin diseases caused by the microorganisms. A new approach is made in this research work to make textile material antimicrobial using Bio shield AM 500 agent on cotton fabrics. The anti-microbial agent of Bio shield AM 500 3-(trimethoxy silyl)-propyl-dimethyl octadecyl ammonium chloride is applied to cotton fabrics by a cold pad-batch method in the presence of an alkaline catalyst to evaluate its use as a durable antimicrobial finish. The antibacterial activity of the Bio shield AM 500 treated cotton fabrics for apparel is evaluated by both qualitatively and quantitatively like AATCC 147 by Gram staining, Turbidity test and Agar Diffusion test method and AATCC 100 Broth Dilution test methods. The turbidity value is maintained over 187 even after being exposed to 15 consecutive home laundering conditions. The antimicrobial treated sweat sample is tested for microbial activity and the turbidity was 189.

Abstract: Key points of developing superfine ramie embedded composite yarn were discussed. Principle of embedded composite yarn was introduced. Related technology modifications were done on traditional ring spinning frame and filament winding device was used. 12. 7 tex embedded composite yarn was spun successfully by ramie short fiber and water-soluble PVA filament. Then the quality was contrasted with the same count traditional ring ramie water-soluble PVA short fiber yarn. 4. 9 tex ramie fabric can be got after dissolving the PVA. It is considered that the composite yarn structure is stable, the strength is stronger, the evenness is better, the hairiness is less, the yarn is smooth, ramie yarn property can be improved and the yarn can be used in top grade ramie fabric.
